Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) aims to prevent and reduce the risk of transmission of pathogens in community settings. Grand Erie Public Health shares information about premises or organizations that are being investigated for IPAC-related issues. IPAC investigations may be related to a complaint from the public, a referral, or through communicable disease surveillance.

To request information, call:

Brantford-Brant: Phone 519‑751‑4937 | Fax 519‑753‑9127

Haldimand-Norfolk: Phone 519‑900‑9600 | Fax 519‑805‑3269

An IPAC lapse occurs when there is deviation from IPAC best practices resulting in possible infectious disease transmission to patients, clients or staff. IPAC lapse investigation reports are posted on the website of the board of health in which the premises is located.
